Bambino introverso, Mengoni ha trovato dentro di s\u00e9 il supereroe che potesse dargli la forza di affrontare nel modo giusto la vita. Per vederlo a Torino l\u2019appuntamento \u00e8 il 10 maggio.
\n<\/i><\/span>Nelle sue parole, la genesi dell\u2019album e l\u2019attesa per i live.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u00c8 fine gennaio. La fila dei fan di Marco Mengoni si allunga per centinaia di metri tra gli isolati del centro di Torino. \u00c8 la tappa cittadina del \u201cfirmacopie\u201d, tour scaldapiazze negli store di dischi in cui l\u2019artista incontra il pubblico di appassionati pronti a portare a casa l\u2019autografo dell\u2019idolo su \u201cParole in circolo<\/i>\u201d, l\u2019ultimo lavoro del vincitore di X Factor 2009. Lui, ben protetto dai bodyguard, siede al centro del salottino allestito per l\u2019occasione. Gli occhi non sono quelli di un Guerriero, come il titolo del suo singolo di lancio, ma assomigliano piuttosto a quelli di un uomo soddisfatto del suo percorso; se non entusiasta di scrivere il proprio nome centinaia di volte, sicuramente felice di salutare e in qualche modo ringraziare il pubblico per l\u2019affetto che continua a dimostrargli in modo numericamente esponenziale. Una ragazza tra le pi\u00f9 eletrizzate prova ad attardarsi prima dell\u2019uscita, in cerca di un nuovo scatto da rubare: accompagnata gentilmente fuori dal personale, gira sconsolata la testa verso Mengoni e sussurra: \u00abMarco\u2026\u00bb, ma Marco non pu\u00f2 sentire, impegnato a concedersi per nuove foto, nuove firme, nuovi baci e abbracci agli altri in coda da ore. Il 10 maggio, l\u2019artista nato a Ronciglione (Viterbo) si esibisce a Torino al PalaAlpitour, quarto di una serie di dieci concerti italiani: sar\u00e0 l\u2019occasione per sentire dal vivo i brani del nuovo album e, chiss\u00e0, per ascoltare per la prima volta qualche canzone di quelle che comporranno la seconda parte dell\u2019opera. Perch\u00e9 Parole in circolo<\/i> \u00ab\u00c8 una prima playlist, un primo tempo che raccoglie i suoni e le parole della vita vissuta fino a qui \u2013 confessa Mengoni \u2013 Ma si continua a vivere e quindi a scrivere, a condividere. Per questo ho chiesto alla mia casa discografica di andare avanti e di non chiudere la fase di studio perch\u00e9 fosse un progetto in divenire. Cercavo un modo per continuare a soddisfare il mio bisogno di scrittura: chiudere un album in un luogo e in un tempo mi sembrava soffocasse questo flusso continuo che non voglio far smettere di scorrere, in una costante sana incoscienza. Il procedimento \u00e8 del tutto simile a quello con cui tutte le persone del mondo realizzano le proprie playlist su iTunes o Spotify\u00bb. Con la differenza che Mengoni le canzoni se le scrive e non le seleziona semplicemente. Nell\u2019ideale parte prima di Parole in circolo<\/i> hanno suonato Blair Sinta (batteria), Sean Hurley (basso) e Giovanni Pallotti (basso addizionale); Tim Pierce (chitarre elettriche ed acustiche), e Alessandro De Crescenzo (chitarre elettriche addizionali); Jeff Babko (piano, hammond, hodes) e Christian Rigano (tastiere sintetizzatori programmazione); Marco Tamburini, con cui Mengoni firma gli arrangiamenti dei fiati e Roberto Rossi (fiati). Oltre all\u2019annuncio del dittico musicale, le scelte coraggiose sono proseguite anche con la decisione di lanciare come primo singolo Guerriero<\/i>, la canzone che ha fatto piangere Rocio Munoz Morales, quando il fidanzato Raoul Bova gliel\u2019ha dedicata in mondovisione all\u2019ultimo Festival di Sanremo. Per Mengoni \u00e8 una canzone molto importante: \u00abHo cercato di mettere dentro questo pezzo tutti i mondi raccontati nell\u2019album, unendo molte tracce musicali diverse tra loro: ci sono sonorit\u00e0 elettroniche, R&B, hip hop, archi, fiati, riff di chitarra, funky. Anche il testo \u00e8 diverso da tutto ci\u00f2 che avevo fatto in precedenza, pi\u00f9 impegnato. Avevamo un po' paura a farlo uscire, ci sono state anche delle discussioni col mio staff, ma la sfida ora si pu\u00f2 dire vinta\u00bb. La conferma \u00e8 arrivata anche dall\u2019esilarante cover realizzata da Mangoni (con la \u201ca\u201d), storico collaboratore degli Elio e le Storie Tese. Il pezzo ha un significato speciale proprio per le parole: il bambino introverso che nel video cerca tra le pagine di un fumetto il supereroe in grado di difenderlo da paura e ingiustizie della vita, \u00e8 in gran parte un riferimento autobiografico. \u00abPrima vedevo il bicchiere sempre mezzo vuoto \u2013 ha dichiarato a Sky nello speciale a lui dedicato \u2013 Ora vedo che l\u2019acqua \u00e8 a met\u00e0\u2026\u00bb. Tra gli incontri pi\u00f9 interessanti che sono poi sfociati in canzoni, c\u2019\u00e8 stato quello con Luca Carboni. Il merito \u00e8 di uno scambio di stanza causa omonimia: \u00ab\u00c8 uno degli artisti che apprezzo da sempre, soprattutto per i suoi pezzi pi\u00f9 Up<\/i>. Lui e mia cugina sono stati vittime di un equivoco in albergo per il cognome identico e ci siamo cos\u00ec conosciuti. All\u2019inizio non \u00e8 venuto fuori molto dal nostro incontro, non \u00e8 scattato nulla di particolare. Poi, a distanza di tempo si \u00e8 presentato con il testo di Se io fossi te<\/i> che ho sentito subito mio. \u00c8 un brano pi\u00f9 arioso rispetto agli altri, che sono pi\u00f9 pragmatici: era quello che mancava nella playlist\u00bb. La collaborazione con il 53enne cantautore bolognese \u00e8 un episodio piuttosto raro per il 26enne Mengoni: \u00abCerco di lavorare pi\u00f9 che posso con i miei coetanei: si crea da subito una comunicazione pi\u00f9 nitida. A differenza degli inizi della mia carriera, voglio poter rischiare e sbagliare, farlo con gente che ha la mia et\u00e0 e che come me rischia e sbaglia\u00bb. Fanno parte di questa cricca, anche gli Shipmate che dell\u2019album\u00a0 hanno curato il progetto creativo in quanto a grafica, ma anche l\u2019ex leader de La Fame di Camilla Ermal Meta, dalla cui collaborazione sono nati ben tre pezzi, e Matteo Valli, coautore dei due testi pi\u00f9 intimisti dell\u2019album: Mai per sempre<\/i> ed Essere umani<\/i>. Questo ultimo \u00e8 un brano particolarmente significativo per Mengoni: \u00abForse \u00e8 una delle prima volte in cui mi confronto con il mondo in cui vivo. I fatti dell\u2019inizio dell\u2019anno ci ricordano ci\u00f2 che spesso dimentichiamo, che siamo esseri umani che devono essere umani, come canto nella canzone: un messaggio fondamentale, per me, e che vorrei fosse condiviso dai miei fan\u00bb. Il lancio dell\u2019album ha fatto numeri impressionanti anche a livello di social network. Nei primi quindici giorni, oltre a essere in testa a tutte le classifiche e aver gi\u00e0 conquistato dischi d\u2019oro, gli hashtag dedicati hanno generato decine di migliaia di tweet e con la app dedicata al suo mondo, Marco Mengoni ha raccolto nella sezione community ben sedicimila storie dei fan e il video di Guerriero<\/i>, di cui \u00e8 coregista insieme a Cosimo Alem\u00e0, si avvia verso le venti milioni di visualizzazioni. Arriver\u00e0 infine a primavera inoltrata il momento dei live: qualche data \u00e8 gi\u00e0 sold out, come la prima di Milano. \u00abTorno nei palazzetti dopo tanto tempo e dopo tanti concerti a teatro \u2013 racconta il cantante - Anche se alla scaletta non ho ancora pensato, subito dopo aver firmato con la mia nuova agenzia di live mi sono presentato da loro con i bozzetti dello spettacolo. Non vedo l\u2019ora di far vivere il progetto nella dimensione dal vivo, di riarrangiare i pezzi, di pensare come possa il palco sottolineare ancora di pi\u00f9 le sensazioni che hanno portato alla creazione del disco\u00bb. E nell\u2019ottica del work in progress, Mengoni si augura che i concerti del mese di maggio lo aiutino ad affinare e completare i pezzi che andranno a comporre la seconda met\u00e0 del lavoro di quest\u2019anno. \u00abLe parole continuano ad arrivarmi da ogni parte: dalle pubblicit\u00e0, dai messaggi in rete, dalle canzoni stesse. \n<\/i><\/span>It is the end of January. The row of fans for Marco Mengoni stretches for hundreds of meters along a city block in downtown Turin. It is the stage of the town \u201cfirmacopie\u201d where the artist meets the audience of enthusiasts ready to take home an autograph of \u201cParole in Circolo,\u201d the latest work of the winner of X Factor 2009. He is well protected by bodyguards and sits at the center of the room decorated for the occasion. The eyes are not those of a warrior, as the title of his single suggests, but rather resemble those of a man satisfied with his path; if not enthusiastic to write his name hundreds of times, certainly happy to greet and thank the audience in some way for the affection that continues to grow.\u00a0<\/i>One of the most enthusiastic fans is a girl, looking for a new release to steal: as she is kindly accompanied out by staff, she turns her head toward Mengoni and whispers, \u201cMarco\u2026,\u201d but he can\u2019t hear over the fans he is surrounded by. There are many new people to hug, kiss, and meet that have waited in the queue for hours.\u00a0<\/i>On May 10th, the artist born in Ronciglione (Viterbo) performs his PalaAlipitour show in Turin which is the fourth in a series of ten Italian concerts: there will be an opportunity to hear live tracks from the new album and, who knows, to listen to the first few songs that will become the second half of the album. Why Parole in Circolo? \u201cIt\u2019s a first playlist, a first time that collects the sounds and words of life I have lived up until now \u2013 confesses Mengoni \u2013 but he continues to live and to write, to share. This is why I asked my record company to keep moving forward and not to close the study phase because it was an ongoing project. I was looking for a way to continue to satisfy my need to write: close an album in a certain place and at one time it seems suffocating with this continuous flow that didn\u2019t want to stop, in a healthy unconsciousness. The procedure is similar to that in which all the people of the world realize their playlist on iTunes or Spotify.\u201d The difference is that Mengoni writes the songs and doesn\u2019t just simply select them. The idea for the first part of Parole in Circolo was to have Blair Sinta (drums), Sean Hurley (bass), Giovanni Pallotti (additional bass), Tim Pierce (electric and acoustic guitar), Alessandro De Crescenzo (additional electric guitar), Jeff Babko (piano), Christian Rigano (keyboard, synthesizer), Marco Tamburini, and Roberto Rossi (woodwinds) playing with Mengoni.\u00a0<\/i>In addition to the announcement of the diptych musical, the courageous decisions also continued with the decision to launch Warrior as the first single, the song that made me cry, when Raoul Bova dedicated it to his boyfriend at the last Sanremo festival. For Mengoni it is a very important song: \u201cI tried to put into this piece all the worlds narrated in the album, combining many different music tracks among them there are electronic sounds, R&B, hip hop, strings, woodwinds, guitar riffs, and funk. Although the text is different from anything I had done before, it was more committed. We had a little fear to get it out, there were also discussions with my staff, but now you can say we won the challenge.\u201d The confirmation also came from the exhilarating covers designed by Mangoni (with an \u201ca\u201d), the longtime collaborator of Eleo e le Storie Tese. The piece has a special significance because of the words, the introverted child who looks through the pages of a comic book in the video to the superhero that is able to defend him from fear and the injustices of life, is largely an autobiographical reference. \u201cBefore I saw the glass as always half empty \u2013 he told Sky in the special dedicated to him \u2013 I see now that the water is halfway\u2026\u201d\u00a0<\/i>The collaboration with the 53 year old singer from Bologna is a rather rare episode for the 26 year old Mengoni: \u201cI try to work with my peers: it immediately creates a sharper communication. Unlike the beginning of my career, I want to take risks and make mistakes, do it with people my age and that are like me and likely also wrong.\u201d They are part of the clique, and also Shipmate has treated the album as a graphic design project, and the former leader of The Hunger, Camilla Ermal Meta, whose collaboration has resulted in three pieces, and Matteo Valli, co-author of the two most intimate texts in the album: Never Forever and Be Human. This last one is a particularly significant song for Mengoni: \u201cMaybe it\u2019s one of the first times that I compare myself with the world in which I live. The facts of the beginning of the year remind us of what we often forget that we are human beings. A basic message, for me, and that I would share with my fans.\u201d\u00a0<\/i>The launch of the album has had impressive numbers and a high level of social network attention. In the first fifteen days, in addition to being at the top of the charts and having already won gold records, the hashtag dedicated to it generated tens of thousands of tweets. Marco Mengoni has also collected sixteen stories from the fan community and is moving towards twenty million views for the Warrior video.\u00a0<\/i>In the spring a live show will finally arrive: some dates have already sold out, like the first show in Milan. \u201cI\u2019ll be back in the halls soon and after there will be many concerts \u2013 says the singer \u2013 although the lineup is not yet planned, immediately after signing with my new agency I gave them sketches of the show. I cannot wait to experience the project live, to rearrange the pieces, thinking about how the stage can emphasize the feelings even more than the ones that led to the creation of the album.\u201d And in view of the work in progress, Mengoni hopes that the May concerts will help him to refine and complete the pieces that will make up the second half of this year\u2019s work. \u201cI keep getting words from all sides: from advertising, the network messages, from the songs themselves.
